OMSA stands for the Ontario Medil Students Association, the community that includes every medil student in Ontario and brings together the essence of our medil school experience with our diverse student population. OMSA is also the dedited student voice to the Ontario Medil Association (OMA). The organization represent the views and concerns of the over 3,000 Ontario medil students on a number of issues. OMSA Statement on OMA’s ll to Increase Restrictions in new COVID Framework

At the beginning of this month, the Government of Ontario released a new tiered framework for the province to combat the spread of COVID-19. On November 12th, the Ontario Medil Association (OMA) released a statement lling for tighter restrictions from the Ontario government to curb the spread of COVID-19.?With record high ses increasing by the day, the Ontario Medil Students Association (OMSA) supports the OMA’s ll to increase restrictions within each tier of the framework and allote more resources for testing and contact tracing.

Ontario Medil Students Warn Against Cuts to Public Health

OMSA is concerned about the province's plan to substantially cut support for municipal health units by reducing the provincial share of program funding. Several municipalities, regional governments, and other healthre stakeholders including the Ontario Medil Association have also expressed their concern about reducing support for lol public health units. The vague nature of recent healthre cuts have left the future of our provincial healthre system unclear to both the general population as well as to healthre students and professionals.
